School attendance is important. Students that come to school each day are bound to be more academically and socially successful. Attendance letters have been sent to several parents regarding poor attendance. Letter one is sent then some time later after continued poor attendance a second letter and an attendance contract is sent out. When parents receive letter three it indicates that there is a need for a greater intervention than the school can provide which includes an attendance hearing with school district officials and/or the district attorney. Please call the school office to schedule an appointment with the principal if you would like to find out more information about your child's attendance and how you can help.

Sutherland Early Outs
The next Early Out Days are as follows:
Our new security gate is up and it looks great! It will be painted blue in the near future. After the gate is complete office staff will receive keys. There are plans to add a student/volunteer service window or additional entry/exit door in the future so that this gate can remain locked during school hours. The addition of the door will allow students access to the school office and health office without exiting the gates. We ask that students and parents continue to wait behind the gate before and after school.
